AI Deployment Manager - Japan
i-5O is seeking a highly experienced AI Deployment Manager with a background in the manufacturing or tech industry to join our dynamic team, with the option for remote work and occasional travel within Japan. With a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and satisfaction of our valued customers in the Japanese market. You will bring a wealth of expertise to build strong relationships, provide exceptional support, and drive customer retention and growth.
Market Engagement and Insights:
- Actively participate in conferences, networking events, and webinars to stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of the Japanese market, focusing on the manufacturing and tech sectors, to identify strategic opportunities for i-5O.
Customer Engagement and Support:
- Conduct discovery calls with clients, displaying active listening skills and thorough note-taking to understand customer requirements and pain points.
- Conduct research and compile relevant information to facilitate effective customer assistance.
- Collaborate closely with customers to develop Statements of Work (SoWs), Gantt charts, and system diagrams when necessary.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Schedule and lead meetings with clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Efficiently manage hardware inventory and coordinate shipping for customer-specific projects.
- Foster collaborative efforts between the Product and Engineering teams, facilitating enhanced project outcomes and innovation.
- Provide support during onboarding and training sessions to boost customer product knowledge.
- Oversee customer-specific projects to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver weekly update meeting presentations to keep clients informed of project progress.
- Offer on-site deployment and troubleshooting assistance when required.
- Summarize key takeaways and action items in recap emails following customer interactions.
- Develop Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations, emphasizing business challenges and their impact.
Issue Resolution and Data Analysis:
- Address critical situations and escalations promptly with effective solutions to maintain client trust and confidence.
- Analyze customer data to detect usage patterns, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement, leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Assist in crafting user documentation and training materials tailored to Japanese customers' needs.
Collaboration and Revenue Growth:
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to align customer success efforts with revenue growth strategies.
- Identify and pursue upselling or cross-selling opportunities based on evolving customer needs within the manufacturing and tech sectors.
- Develop retention strategies and proactively mitigate potential churn risks.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer success, account management, or a related role in the manufacturing and/or tech industry.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).
- Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- B.S. in engineering preferred.
- Sales engineering experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in collaborating with engineering and product teams.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and leverage data for decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on achieving high-impact business outcomes.
- Essential knowledge of the Japanese manufacturing and tech market.
- Prior experience in early-stage AI/tech start-ups is advantageous.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
- Operations Management knowledge is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of computer vision algorithms (e.g., object detection, object classification, segmentation) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Trello is a plus.
